Nobody thinks you're funny....

That moment you realize that pretty much everyone thinks you're a pretentious asshole. You must be like me! I'm a self acclaimed sarcastic/dry/dark humored mom. Ed and I share this affliction. I think that's the real issue. We get to hone our skills on each other, so when we join good society and try to socialize, we come across as crass and like a bit of a Debbie downer. Wah wah.

I've tried relationships with normal mom's that exude words of adoration for their children and their life circumstances, but a part of me just feels dead. The fun side that likes to get a laugh out of people with her sharp wit, but instead she should just shove her foot in her big mouth because nobody "gets it".

It's ok, I have a handful of friends that enjoy my slice of spicey candor, so that's good enough for me. In the mean time, everybody else will determine that I'm a weirdo . Say la vie!
