How Jessie got her groove back...

I'll be honest, it wasn't by having a Summer fling with a strapping young Tay Diggs in Jamaica. These past two weeks I finally started to see some progress with my "existential crisis". I went climbing for the first time in over two years, I got out of the house both with and without my girls, I opened an Etsy shop, we're going on our first hike tomorrow, and the girls have been so fun! Jo can now play the harmonica, and by play I mean walk around the house inhaling and exhaling into the harmonica. It's adorable. I wanted to share that my life is starting to feel a little more complete.

Becoming a mom has shaken everything that I thought made up my identity, and in the best way possible. It's teaching me how to become the very best version of myself. Not perfect, just better. It only took me 14 months to finally get here ;-) I suppose this journey is different for every mother: but it's not how quickly you get there, it's the journey itself and the lessons you learn along the way. Maybe I'm still high on the fumes from last nights shop launch, but life is feeling pretty good right now!

So if you're a new momma or a seasoned momma, and you're left wondering who YOU are, start doing something for yourself. Anything! And eventually you'll find something that fills you up and allows you to be the best version of you. Not just for you, but for your child(ren) and your significant other. Life is all about balance, so making time to do things for yourself is every bit as important as taking care of your loved ones. Much love to you all, and have a killer Tuesday!
